What is scabies?

What is Mooney?
Mumps is a contagious parasitic disease caused by the moth mite (lat. Sarcoptes scabiei var. Hominis, Eng. Itch mite). This is a species of arachnids that cannot be easily seen without microscopic observation. They burrow into the stratum corneum of the skin and form small tunnels where they lay their eggs and begin to reproduce. As soon as symptoms characteristic of the disease are detected, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
How does moonshine spread?
Fleas quickly spread between people through close physical contact or through personal consumption items of a sick person, clothing, bed linen, towels, etc.
How to recognize the disease?
The moon mite does not actually bite humans, it feeds on human skin cells and intercellular fluids. Severe itching, which is the most common symptom of lice, is caused by an allergic reaction of the body to tick excrement and eggs. The disease should be identified by a doctor who will make a diagnosis based on the symptoms and microscopic examination of the skin rash. Mumps often look like an allergic rash, but in fact it has different characteristics and requires correct and timely treatment.
Symptoms of the disease:
- a small red rash or blisters on the skin
- The rash usually appears on the wrist, on the inner side of the elbow, in the armpit, around the chest, on the waist, on the belt line, on the buttocks, between the fingers and toes
- An infected person may develop severe itching, which is caused by an allergic reaction to ticks. Itching is especially strong in the evening hours, when the body is in a state of rest.
- Unlike adults, in children, rashes can appear on the neck, face, arms or legs.
- Sometimes accompanied by noticeable small linear holes on the surface of the skin- tunnels made by the moon tick, which may be tan or grayish-whitish.
How to treat thrush?
Treatment of lice involves drug therapy or the use of special healing creams and lotions that destroy ticks and their eggs. Self-diagnosis often leads to a worsening of the disease, so as soon as suspicion arises, do not delay and always consult a doctor for treatment.
Wash the infected person's clothing, towel and bed linen thoroughly in hot water (above 50°C) and dry at high temperature. Other items of personal use that cannot be washed can be placed in hermetically sealed polyethylene bags for at least a week. Thorough cleaning and vacuuming are sufficient to prevent their spread, and treating the premises with an insecticide only for preventive purposes if carried out on the recommendation of a doctor.
Preventive Disinsection Measures
If the cases of moths in buildings are frequent and increasing, it is advisable to consult a professional pest prevention and control service company in consultation with your doctor so that a preventive disinfection measure can be carried out.
In case of detection of moths on the human body, immediately consult a doctor, animal-veterinarian, and for safe handling of buildings, contact Orkin.
