Orkin Georgia/Pest Prevention and Control

Snake Control

The appearance of a snake on your property can be caused by several factors. It may be searching for food or water, responding to temperature changes through instinctual survival behavior—since reptiles cannot regulate their body temperature, they seek shade in heat and warmth in cold. Additionally, snakes may appear while searching for new shelter or due to environmental changes that unintentionally lead them to your premises.

Orkin offers a program built on years of field experience and industry best practices. Our goal is to investigate where it came from, why it appeared, and how it entered the area. Together with the client, we implement measures that aim to limit their motivation and ability to enter or remain on the property.

Inspection

Our inspection involves a thorough assessment of the premises to identify high-risk zones, entry points, and the size of the snake population. Based on these findings, we develop appropriate snake management and control methods.

Eliminating Attraction Sources

Snakes are often drawn to areas rich in food—primarily rodents, insects, and water sources. We offer professional rodent and insect control (deratization/disinsection) services to eliminate the conditions that may attract snakes to your property. In addition, it is essential to follow the recommendations provided by herpetology experts to ensure long-term effectiveness.

Population Management and Control

In outdoor areas such as yards, gardens, parking lots, or other enclosed spaces, we locate both resident and transient snakes, carry out humane capture and relocation, install traps at active transit points, and perform exclusion work to prevent reentry. We also work to reduce snake populations beyond the fenced perimeter within a reasonable distance to minimize the risk of reintroduction.
